My most favorite character in the story was Nonna! Man, that lady was hilarious!! The woman had no filter. Nico is the kind of hero I love dominant, dark and dangerous, possessive as hell, and sex on legs!!!!ĭid I mention this book is REAL steamy? Because it is! Very steamy “TRUTHFULLY, I WAS PRETTY SURE I WAS OBSESSED, AND I DIDN’T GIVE A SINGLE FUCK ABOUT IT ANYMORE.” Nico is book boyfriend material! (Btw I claim him, Tony, Benito and Dominic. The sexual tension was the best and worst thing ever lol. I enjoyed their interactions, how there is a pull between them but neither wanting to give in. I also admired how she always gave as good as she got, especially when it came to Nico. She was so feisty and didn’t take anyone’s crap. There’s just something about the mafia world that captivates me, I can’t explain it.Įlena was a strong, badass heroine.
This book made me remember how much I missed it and why I loved it so much to begin with. It’s been a while since I’ve read mafia romance.
I was willing to give up anything to have this book in my hands. To say I was extremely excited about The Sweetest Oblivion would be a huge understatement. Danielle Lori automatically became one of my auto-buy authors when I first read her debut novel, A Girl Named Calamity.
